Hasnoel Ramly

Co-Founder and Director

Hasnoel has assumed Senior Leadership roles in the areas of public policy, corporate finance, investment advisory, strategic reviews, financial advisory and risk management in various engagements for Multinationals, Public Listed Companies, Government Ministries, Government Linked Companies, Agencies and Statutory Bodies, and SMEs.

He has led several risk management engagements, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive investment risk management framework for the Malaysia's central provident fund and credit and market risk framework for financial institutions.

From 2005 to 2009, Hasnoel was a Consultative Council member of a strategic think tank, the Malaysian Strategic & Leadership Foundation. In this capacity, he conducted numerous economic research and public policy studies, providing inputs relevant to structuring the policy agenda of the country. He was also instrumental in setting up of the ‘Skim Jejak Jaya Bumiputera' (SJJB), a scheme encouraging merit-based participation of corporate Bumiputeras in the capital market, reporting regularly to the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Finance on the status of SJJB. He has been invited to present his views and ideas in various areas in many seminars and conferences locally and abroad.

Notably, he co-facilitated the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) session for the Government of Malaysia, entitled “Creating a Compelling Future for Malaysia”, together with BOS author Professor W. Chan Kim, a workshop attended by the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers and the senior Officers of the Malaysia's Civil Service.

He provided advisory assistance in the setting up of the National Price Council, a committee chaired by the Prime Minister, established to address inflationary issues in the country.

Azhim Hadi Daud

Azhim's area of expertise covers financial advisory services, process improvements, risk management and technology advisory services. His clients include those operating in financial services, power generation, aerospace design, maritime services, healthcare, mining, manufacturing and the public sector.

Azhim was the strategic and financial advisor for major fund raising exercises for several infrastructure projects in transport, aviation, education, healthcare and utilities industries. He led financial due diligence and financial verification projects such as on the defense procurement of the Government, which also led to a review of a commercial development programme of a multi-billion ringgit defence procurement exercise for the Ministry of Finance.

Azhim also developed an assessment mechanism for the Economic Planning Unit of the Malaysian Government to assist in the evaluation of a private finance initiative healthcare and education propositions.

Jamilatul Naimah Mat Arifin

Associate Director

Naimah's area of expertise covers financial advisory services, strategic transformation, process improvements, and risk management advisory services to organisations operating in a variety of industries.

Her experience includes fund raising exercises, corporate debt and operational restructuring exercises, M&As, and formulating several private finance initiative propositions. Her clients include those in the manufacturing, energy & utilities, education, hospitality, construction, property development, healthcare, technology and facilities management industry.

Some of her recent project undertakings include developing the commercial and financial proposition for a concession renewal with the Government of Malaysia of a hospital support services concessionaire and as the strategic and financial advisor to a Consortium of foreign and local companies to bid for a major public transportation undertaking to the Government of Malaysia.

Naimah also performed major comprehensive socio-economic studies for the Government of Malaysia, including on the transformation of Bumiputeras and enhancing Bumiputera economic participation in selected key industries.

Naimah led the development of a credit framework for a local biotechnology agency and credit risk frameworks for financial institutions. She also developed enterprise risk management framework for financial institutions in Malaysia.

Khairil Effendi Kassim

Managing Consultant

Khairil's area of expertise covers corporate, strategic and financial advisory services. His clients include those operating in renewable energy, telecommunications, healthcare, utilities, technology and the public sector.

Khairil has led and assisted in several financial due diligence and financial verification projects such as on the proposed acquisition of a local private university and an oil & gas company.

Khairil was the team lead in the development of an assessment mechanism for the Economic Planning Unit of the Malaysian Government to assist in the evaluation of a private finance initiative healthcare and education propositions. He also led a team in developing a financial value proposition for the extension of a healthcare concession. Khairil has also advised on the development of a risk analytics solution and review of the national civil services pension fund.

He is also actively involved in providing strategic and financial advisory for the commercialisation of renewable energy and alternative energy. Collectively, his experience covers solar, biomass and biogas projects of which will be producing more than 40MWs of renewable energy in several sites throughout the country. Other related projects include the proposed development of an integrated renewable energy plant which will potentially produce 19MWs of Renewable Energy.
